In Memoriam to a wonderful man.
George Hallam passed away peacefully, yesterday, 2013-12-15, and was the younger brother of Trooper J.H. Hallam.
The photograph sent by 'Gorge' to Henry, "Stalag VIIIB Gepruft", was kept throughout his P.O.W. years, and carried with him on the terrible Death March.
This small photo was probably one of the objects that gave Trooper Hallam the courage to continue during those dark hours. George surely was a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.
to henry from Gorge
Thankyou, Uncle George, May you rest forever in peace.
